Thomasz gave an excellent day trip to Bilbao and seaside towns along the way. We visited the Guggenheim museum accompanied by him. In addition he took us to a seaside restaurant for lunch which was extra special, which we would have never found by ourselves. His enthusiasm is infectious. His knowledge about all things Basque outstanding. He is one of the best things about our trip to San Sebastian!

Didn't do the St James way because of my illness that day. Did however do another tour with Thomasz 3 days later. It was superb and would recommend his services to Anyone!

Maria was excellent, we strongly recommend her. She went above and beyond giving us restaurant and additional sight seeing recommendations.

We were the only ones on the tour which made it very intimate, during the tour we were shown a number of Pintxos we never tasted before. It was excellent to have a local perspective of where to go and what to try. Definitely hit up this tour, if you are limited by time as they bring you to the best places to try out local eats.

Maria, our guide did an excellent job. We really did enjoy her company and our many discussions with her on all kind of topics. Thanks Maria for a great hike and a great day!! Best regards Karsten and Dorte from Denmark

I was travelling very late in the season in 2015 and only booked a day or so in advance. Via email Tomasz was very accommodating and arranged for Maria to be my guide, I was the only person on the tour. The food was amazing and we went to many different places. Maria also shared her stories about growing up in San Sebastian and we had lots of laughs. The evening was fantastic and is one of the highlights from my short trip to northern Spain. I highly, highly recommend doing this Urban Adventure.

I had no idea what to expect of the pintxos scene in San Sebastian but couldn't wait to explore it. Rather than diving in as a total rookie, we decided to take this tour, with Tomasz as our guide, which was fantastic; as someone who's lived in the town for several years, he knows the scene very well and was able to recommend the best bars, and the best pintxos, along with lots of great info about pintxos etiquette, local life in San Seb, and many other topics that we discussed along the way! A great start to your gastronomic visit, as after that you can go back, armed with more knowledge, and discover it for yourself. Plus Tomasz is lovely, friendly and funny (and even got some of our terrible puns. Offal/Awful!).

We had wanted to do some of the St James Way walk around or near San Sebastián as our time in northern Spain was limited. I found Urban Adventures on TripAdvisor and spotted the tour 'Hiking the St James Way'. This sounded perfect, setting out from San Sebastián up and over the Ulia Mountain finishing in the beautiful seaside village of Pasaia. Tomasz was our guide for this hike and for us, he was an inspiration. Coupled with that, Tomasz's sense of humour, his local knowledge both historical and current enabled us to gain an understanding of the Basque culture and the importance of it to the people. The hike was relaxing with a number of short stops to look at the incredible views of the ocean or to gather more information. The walk culminated in Pasaia with a short boat trip to Pasaia San Juan; a walk through a narrow medieval type street with a coffee and tortilla potato in the piazza. Afterwards, we caught a bus back to San Sebastián when there was enough time to explore some of his recommended plans. Thank you Tomasz for an unforgettable experience!

I signed up in the off season, and it was the only one in the tour. Thomasz was very knowledgable and even offer suggestions/information about the town not directly related tot he Pintxo crawl. Highly recommended.

The tour of San Sebastian with Tomasz was just as I had hoped, educational and enjoyable. After a very friendly greeting in good English he started out by giving us an overview of the area plus the historical background. We then started our walk which included not only sights and explanations of traditions, but also the participation in a street game. Both my duaghter (13 years) and me were very glad to have gone on the walking tour with Tomas.
And oh yes, I was told there is no minimum requirement of participants, so even though we ended up to be four, my daughter and me could have had a “private“ tour.
